Mississauga artist, Khaula Siddique, recently premiered her work, ‘Listen to the Silence, It Has Much to Say – Rumi’ an illuminated, laser-cut acrylic Tiger & Lotus box, at the Brampton Lunar New Year Celebration.

The temporary exhibition is on until February 14, 2022 at TImes Square in Brampton.

Together with the Brampton Chinese Business Association, a temporary public art exhibit will be on display at Daily Times Square featuring the work of four local artists that celebrate Canadian heritage and East Asian culture.

ABOUT THE PIECE

2022 is the year of the Tiger, specifically water tiger. The tiger represents strength and courage and I wanted to add lotus flowers to represent water but also resilience. I hope to inspire people to be resilient and strong during this very strange and difficult time.
