LAURIE PALLETT METALWORKS INSTITUTE SCHOLARSHIP

LAURIE PALLETT METALWORKS INSTITUTE SCHOLARSHIP

ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP

The Laurie Pallett Metalworks Institute Scholarship has been established in honor of the Mississauga Arts Council’s Founding Executive Director. For decades Laurie Pallett has been a champion for the arts in Mississauga and her commitment to the arts continues to inspire those in the community. Through her leadership, the Mississauga Arts Council was a catalyst for founding many of the arts establishments within the community including the Meadowvale Theatre, the Art Gallery of Mississauga and the Living Arts Centre.

This scholarship provides two recipients with a $5,000.00 tuition scholarship for one of Metalworks Institute’s Diploma Programs. Other education-related costs, including the balance of tuition, textbooks, supplies, housing and any other fees associated with the program are not included. The selected recipients will receive a one year membership to the Mississauga Arts Council and will be expected to complete 20 hours of volunteer work with the Mississauga Arts Council throughout the duration of their studies.
