Visual Arts Mississauga’s Why do you create? Juried Exhibition gave artists an opportunity to consider how they create and what brings meaning to their art-making practice. View this new exhibition featuring over 50 selected works from January 9 – 29 in the VAM Gallery or online January 9 – June 30.

The Ones We Met: Inuit Traditional Knowledge and the Franklin Expedition
Experience The Ones We Met: Inuit Traditional Knowledge and the Franklin Expedition, developed by the Canadian Museum of History, in collaboration with the Inuit Heritage Trust, is an exhibition exploring the historic Franklin Expedition through the lens of Inuit traditional knowledge. On now till April 16 at Bradley Museum.

16th Annual Dancing for the Compass
The 16th Annual Dancing for the Compass returns to the Port Credit Legion on January 28! Little Peter and the Elegants return to perform music from the 50s, 60s and 70s from 8 PM to 12 AM. Little Peter and the Elegants won two Readers’ Choice Awards in 2022: Best Local Musician or Band and Best Local Entertainment and they have raised over $55,000 for The Compass since this event began in 2008! Jazz at the Legion
Mississauga Big Band Jazz Ensemble’s home stand at the Port Credit Legion continues! Join them on January 29, 2-4 PM for this pay-what-you-can event. Enjoy cheap drinks, and a great view of the band performing LIVE jazz hits. Contact Rob at (905) 270-4757 for more information.
