Experience Sauga Music NOW: Rhymes and Rhythm, 
a new online presentation featuring Mississauga Hip hop artists

Mississauga, ON – January 12, 2022

Mississauga Arts Council (MAC) and Martys HUB, in collaboration with TAKETHESTAGE.CA are excited to announce Sauga Music NOW: Rhymes and Rhythm, an online presentation featuring new music and interviews with leading Mississauga Hip hop artists! 

Hosted by Tremayne, this free online presentation features performances by: Junia-TSDotGoodsRUNXGUNNanna Goodie, and Kelson Fredericks. Filmed at The Drake Underground in December 2021, tune in for the live premiere on Martys HUB YouTube channel at 8:30 PM, Thursday, January 20, 2022.

“As a special feature, audience members tuning into Sauga Music NOW: Rhymes and Rhythm will get to enjoy an exclusive song collaboration titled the “Sauga Music Cypher” at the end of the production, featuring all the artists from the show.” says Filip Plaskota, Creative Director, TAKETHESTAGE.CA.

Artists Bios:

Tremayne began his career under the moniker T-Mayne, a nod to his birth name. Known for wearing his heart on his sleeve, whether on stage or on record, it has become a calling card for his style of music. Floating somewhere between the poetic, introspection of classic Chicago hip hop, and the contemporary trap soundwaves of New Toronto, Tremayne explores the interpersonal workings of the artist mind, the bleeding heart and the human experience. His career in music has taken him from London to New York, Montreal, Germany, to performing at Atlanta hip hop festival, A3C. Gudini and J.O. Mairs, together known as RUNXGUN, are two seasoned Mississauga emcees from an era where bars and lyrical skill were a main focal point of rap music. Before teaming up, the two emcees spent years making individual efforts to establish themselves in the industry. Both were often told by peers that they were moving in the wrong direction or going about things the wrong way when it came to their artistry. Nanna Goodie
Nanna Goodie is a Hip hop artist who resided west of Mississauga for her later teenage years. Nanna’s singles have been played on syndicated radio stations all over Canada, and she continues to gain recognition for her ability to rap. Her captivating personality continues to grow her numbers rapidly on social media platforms and blog podcasts throughout the country. Kelson Fredericks
Kelson Fredericks is a Hip hop and freestyle artist who first emerged on the scene in 2014. His distinct boom bap style is reminiscent of the 90’s Hip hop that inspired his decision to start a Hip hop career.
