“Mississauga’s 15th Annual Dancing for The Compass will now happen on Saturday March 26 2022. This community fundraiser returns to the Port Credit Legion (upstairs), 35 Front St. N. in south Mississauga. Since 2008 this event has raised over $50,000 for The Compass!

The Province has announced a three-step plan to gradually lift COVID-19 restrictions. The first stage was January 31, the second stage is February 21 and the third stage is March 15. The organization team feel a successful and safe Dancing for The Compass can take place 11 days after the last restrictions are lifted.

They want people to feel comfortable so, for now, they will only sell 125 tickets compared to the 250 tickets have sold most years.

They will follow all COVID-19 safety protocols that are in effect in March such as proof of vaccines, masking and distancing. The Compass certainly needs this fundraiser with so many families and individuals depending on it.

The event will be held at the Port Credit Legion (upstairs), 35 Front St. N. on Saturday March 26 2022. Doors upstairs open at 7:00pm and the band, Little Peter and the Elegants, starts at 8:00pm. Two well-known Port Credit musicians, Virgil Scott and John Bride, will be joining the band on stage for the night! The band covers songs from the 50s, 60s and 70s. An elevator is available and a cash bar.

Safety measures being put in place include:

Reserved seating at the tables
A medical grade HEPA filter air purifier will be used in the upper hall
Some windows will be open as a source of outside air exchange
Individual food items, at no cost, will be brought to your tables instead of a buffet.

Tickets for this fundraiser are $30/person. Please phone Peter Toller at 905-274-6131 to purchase tickets or use toller@sympatico.ca. It will be a fun night of 50s, 60s and 70s music. Fabulous raffle prizes too!”
