“Here’s a look at some of the many events to enjoy during St. Patrick’s Day in Peel.

Celtic Roots

Matt Zaddy and Heather Christine are teaming up with Nurse Next Door Mississauga to present the sixth-annual celebration of Irish and Scottish music. This in-person concert is taking place at Clarke Memorial Hall (161 Lakeshore Rd. W.) in Mississauga at 2 p.m. on March 17.

St. Patrick’s Day returns to the Brogue

Guests at the Brogue Inn (136 Lakeshore Rd. E.) will be able to enjoy live music, Irish dancers and creations from the popular Port Credit pub’s kitchen March 17. Performing acts include The Mighty Ship (12 to 3 p.m.), Justin Portugaise (4 to 7 p.m.) and Screeched Inn (8 p.m. to midnight).

St. Patrick’s Day at Lionheart

After cancellations in 2020 and 2021, Lionheart British Pub and Restaurant (3221 Derry Rd. W.) will be hosting its 2022 The Third Time’s the Charm Party on March 17 featuring the Butler Ferron Irish Dancers at 4 p.m. and JP McNally and the Tongue ‘N’ Groove Band at 7 p.m.

St. Patrick’s Day at Cuchulainn’s

Cuchulainn’s Irish Pub (158 Queen St. S.) in Streetsville will be hosting its St. Patrick’s Day party March 17 with live music and champion Irish dancers starting at noon.

Irish Club of Mississauga

Doors open at the Irish Club of Mississauga (4120 Ridgeway Dr., Unit 39) at 2 p.m. on March 17 with entertainment featuring Erin’s Marlore, Goggin Carroll Irish dancers and The Shades. Guests will also be able to enjoy $10 stew on March 17 and 20. In celebration of the Toronto St. Patrick’s Day parade March 20, the Irish Club will be opening its doors at 3 p.m. for a day of entertainment featuring Step It Up line dance demo, Fiddlestix and the MacVoy Irish dancers.

Celtic Crawl Food Pass

To celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and Irish Heritage Month, the City of Brampton is offering the Celtic Crawl Food Pass, which allows pass holders to experience a selection of pubs and restaurants and get access to exclusive deals and discounts. The more you use the pass, the more chances you’ll have of winning a $50 gift certificate to one of the participating restaurants or a $100 gift certificate (minimum visit to five different locations in order to be eligible).

Crown and Lion Brampton

The Crown and Lion (7985 Financial Dr.) will be hosting its St. Patrick’s Day party March 17 featuring live music, Irish dancers, Irish food specials and prizes all night long.

Fionn MacCool’s

Fionn MacCool’s has two locations in Mississauga (5945 Airport Rd. and 825 Britannia Rd. W.) and one in Brampton (120 Great Lakes Dr.). They are offering a contest to win a Jameson USB turntable. The contest closes at 11:59 p.m. on March 16.

Jake’s Boathouse

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at Jake’s Boathouse (59 First Gulf Blvd.) with a live performance from Orangemen on Saturday, March 19.

Brampton Irish Centre

The Brampton Irish Centre will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day on March 17 with a flag-raising ceremony at Ken Whillans Square (2 Wellington St. W.) at 10 a.m. followed by St. Patrick’s Day mass at St. Marguerite d’Youville Parish (2490 Sandalwood Pkwy. E.) at 11 a.m. on Sunday, March 20, the group will also be providing transportation from the Celtic Club to the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Toronto and then back to the club.

Caledon Seniors Centre

The Caledon Seniors Centre (7 Rotartian Way) will be hosting a luncheon and euchre tournament to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on March 17 as well as an Irish happy hour and singalong beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Caledon Hills Brewing Company

Caledon Hills Brewing Company (17219 Hwy. 50) will be running Irish-inspired features and pouring green pilsners from Thursday, March 17 to Sunday, March 20. There will also be a special St. Patrick’s Day menu to enjoy for dine-in and takeout while supplies last.

Wine Spot

Wine Spot in Bolton (23 Queen St. N.) will be offering green beer, lamb chops, leprechaun mimosas, Irish car bombs, shamrock-aritas and more during its St. Patrick’s Day celebration March 17.”
