“A massive used book sale returns to Mississauga this September.

The Mississauga Symphony’s 27th Annual Used Book Sale is at Sherwood Village, 2225 Erin Mills Pkwy. on Sept. 15 to 18.

“Our annual used book sale is a vital fundraiser for the orchestra,” the symphony says on its website.

Revenue from the sale is used to present and support each concert season, fund the Mississauga Symphony Youth Orchestra and assist with high-profile projects like fully-staged opera.

The sale includes thousands of art, children, collectibles, fiction, non-fiction, mystery, romance and science fiction titles. There are also CDs, DVDs, vinyl records, puzzles, games, and sheet music for sale.

The sale is on the main level, centre hallway area of Sherwood Village and it’s cash only.

Here are the opening hours:

  • Thursday, Sept. 15: 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Friday, Sept. 16: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, Sept. 17: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Sunday, Sept. 18: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (all items half price)

Those looking to donate can bring books, records (33s & 45s), CDs, DVDs, puzzles, games, and sheet music in good condition to the lower lever of Sherwood Village (behind Metro on the P2 covered parking level, door 25) on the final donation day, Tuesday, Aug. 30 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
