“Those who enjoy getting creative may be interested to know that an art-making event is set to hit an art gallery in Mississauga this weekend.

The free event, called the Art Hive, aims to promote mental health and connection through the use of art.

While these events have been temporarily virtual due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this next in-person event is set to take place at the Art Gallery of Mississauga (AGM), located at 300 City Centre Dr., on Saturday, Nov. 12.

It will be hosted by Cynthia Morin, who has a passion for art-making spaces which she believes help individuals and communities “heal and thrive”.

All participants are welcome and no art-making experience is necessary. All supplies will be provided.

While pre-registration is preferred, it is not required for the event, which will take place from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The AGM is a public, not-for-profit, art gallery located across from Square One and provides platforms for exhibitions, collections and experimentation in contemporary culture.”
