Project overview

The City of Mississauga’s Public Art Program invites professional artists and artist-led teams to submit expressions of interest to create permanent public artwork(s) to be installed in a future downtown park (505 Webb Drive, Mississauga, ON).

This project is open to artists nationally and internationally and is funded by a voluntary contribution from Rogers Real Estate Development Limited.

The City is seeking to commission innovative art that inspires curiosity and contributes to the unique gathering space of the park and of the larger development project.

Mentorship program

A mentorship component will be integrated into the project, with an emerging artist(s) being paired with the selected artist(s). Mentees will benefit by gaining valuable transferable technical and project management skills, and by taking part in hands-on, experiential learning opportunities. Artists responding to this call are asked to describe their approach to integrating a mentorship component into their project.
