The sun is out (well, sort of), and hooray, it’s almost Spring. It’s that time of year once again; Frog in Hand is auditioning for our 5th annual *paid* training and performance initiative: the 2022 Summer Company!
Funded by the Canada Summer Jobs program (Government of Canada), the Summer Company brings together a group of talented dancers for 9 weeks of full-time employment. This is a chance to train and perform alongside Frog in Hand’s own professional artists. This opportunity is specifically for artists under 30, and has eligibility requirements set by our funder (please read our audition call on our website for full details). The project is driven by our desire to give back to the arts community by supporting new and emerging artistic voices across Mississauga and the GTA.
*These opportunities are pending, to be confirmed in April 2022 when grant results are announced.
We are seeking:
Physically and emotionally imaginative folks between the age of 19-30
Skilled dancers with a professional practice
Folks with a strong foundation in movement, versed in contemporary dance techniques
Artists skilled at character development and storytelling
This year, our goal is to hold as much of the company in person as we can, working outside in a responsible, safe, socially distanced environment.

We are holding an Information Session on Saturday, March 12th from 11-noon. The session will be recorded and will appear on our YouTube channel, but we encourage folks to attend so we can meet one another, and answer any questions.
Thank you in advance for your support and collaboration.
